General info:

The Gulf of Aqaba offers some of the best snorkelling and diving in the world. The temperate climate and gentle water currents have created a perfect environment for the growth of corals and teeming marine life. The soft and hard coral formations are spectacular and there are many species unique to this area.

Here you can swim with sea turtles as they dart amongst the schools of multicoloured fish. Night dives reveal the nocturnal sea creatures, crabs, lobsters, and shrimp, as they search for a midnight snack.

The sea in the Gulf of Aqaba is calm with temperature varying between 19 C in winter months to 26 C in summer. There are about 30 dive sites along Aqaba South beach, each site varies in shape and inhabitants from slopes to drop-off, canyons, flat bottom veiled completely with flourishing corals.
