When Kinopalatsi opened in 1998, it was the first multiplex cinema in Finland. It has 10 movie theatres, all equipped with the latest sound systems. Even though th ecomplex was opened in 1998, the first movie theatre in this building was opened already in 1939 and there has been movie theatres here ever since. For the opening of Kinopalatsi the old Metropol –theatre was renowated to its original look from 30´s. Also the lobby with the ticket desks was renowated in the spirit of 30´s. Luckily the technology is not kept at the level of 30´s.

Tickets on weekends: Adults 12€, Children under 11 years 8,5€. Other times are somewhat cheaper.

The Palace Square has been the central point of St. Petersburg since the city was built. On this place many significant events happened, including the October Revolution that changed the modern world.

The Hermitage is the biggest art museum in Russia and is one of the must-visit places in St. Petersburg.
