Big Mountain towers above the resort town of Whitefish with views to the gorgeous Glacier National Park, Flathead Valley, and even the Canadian Rockies. The resort has over 3,000 acres and a vertical drop of 2,500 feet. There's plenty of snow every winter, and high-speed quads move you around the aptly named mountain. Great tree skiing, too, and a friendly local vibe makes Big Mountain a great Montana destination.

Montana Snowbowl

Snow Bowl is built on two peaks and has 2,600 feet of continuous vertical drop. Paradise is a three-mile-long cruiser. Grizzly rolls down 2,000 feet through steep terrain. There are plenty of un-named winders through the forest.

Mission Ridge

Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort, located on the eastern side of Washington's Cascade Mountains, is know for their light, dry powder snow as well as over 300 days of sunshine each year.

Marmot Basin
