Since the opening in the mid-19th century, the Vondelpark has become the leisure hotspot for the Amsterdam citizens. Recently the number of visitors has grown to more than 10 million per year. Places in the Vondelpark that are worth visited from the tourist point of view are The Fish, sculpture made by Pablo Picasso.
