At the foot of the famous Col du Galibier and Col du Télégraphe, the Valloire ski resort. The warm welcoming village is full of character and has 150km of marked ski runs waiting to be discovered. Hotels, apartments, chalets, bed and breakfasts, are all at the bottom of the ski slopes and create a pleasantly calm and charming environment. Valloire has a variety of quality accommodation; there are rental solutions for every taste and budget. The ski area Galibier - Thabor, with its 150 km of marked ski runs, sits under the two iconic peaks in the region which rise up to over 3000m. The ski area groups together the resorts of Valloire and Valmeinier. The Lac de la Vieille Snowpark satisfies freestylers with a half pipe, ski cross, an expert level slopestyle course (7 features in a row) and a safer intermediate zone. The Valloire Snowpark is consistently very well ranked among the top European independent magazines. For beginners and younger skiers and snowboarders Valloire has created the Easy Park, it is found next to the slopes of the 3 massifs de Galibier – Thabor and is made up of whoops, banked turns and bumps easily accessible to all. In the ARVA Park at the top of the Sétaz 2 chairlift allows adventurers to improve their search technique for avalanche victims. Contact the ski patrol for demonstrations and tips on usage. Bored in Valloire? Impossible! Whatever your age and your desire, there is an activity for you. To relax: sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi. Locally renowned for its snow record, a funicular from Partenen accesses the Loipe 2000 high-altitude cross-country circuit on the Bielerhöhe.

In the family-winter-wonderland St. Urban / Simonhöhe everybody has the possibility to ski as the slopes are well prepared and there is no risk of avalanches.

5 ski tows and a modern 4-passenger chairlift with 20 km long wonderful runs makes the heart of the young and the old skier alike leap. Snowboarders are welcome and can romp about to their hearts' content.

At the gates of Queyras and the Guil valley, sat on the edge of a mountain overlooking Mont Pelvoux and the Massif des Ecrins, the ski resort of Risoul.

Ristolas has a small ski area with three parallel drag lifts, but is close to the larger village of Abries, with which it is jointly marketed, that has a larger ski area including a new six seater chair lifts.

A traditional hillside village with three separate ski areas in the mountains above together providing a good mix of ski conditions and gradients. There is a huge modern hotel complex at Aremogna (1625m) with doorstep skiing.
