General info:

Tarvisio is a tourist resort located in the Canale Valley, just in the furthest North-Eastern part of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region where Italy meets up with Slovenia and Austria. It is a village rich in natural beauties that offers the opportunity to choose among numerous activities in order to organize an unforgettable holiday both during the summer and the winter months. When the snow enriches the view, Tarvisio, numbered among the most significant Italian ski resorts, opens to its loyal clients 32 km of slopes, 60 km of cross-country ski-tracks and an area dedicated to the snowboarders amusement. During the summer time, it is possible to pick among trekking, horse-riding, mountain biking, rafting, golf (with a 18-holes course) and much more. Moreover, there are different natural beauties not far from the built-up area: the Cave del Predil mining district with the historical museum and the train tour along the cavern old tracks, the fairy-tale Fusine lake and the not to be missed Lussari Sanctuary, starting point of the exciting Di Prampero slope. The Sanctuary, reachable during the summer time thanks to the homonym cable-way, is located just in the magic village that is visited all-year round by innumerable pilgrims coming from Italy, Slovenia and Germany who have been fascinating for year by the great uniqueness of the site.
