The ski resort Starý smokovec offers more than just skiing. There are easy and moderate slopes , so it is suitable for beginners and also more advanced skiers. You can get to Hrebienok by a ground cable car. There is a 2.6 km long sled run from Hrebienok to Starý Smokovec. Hrebienok is a good starting points for many great hike trails that lead to mountain cottages, which are open 365 days of the year. Starý Smokovec is also the administrative center of the High Tatras and the important railway junction of Tatra electric railway and a lift to Hrebienok. Ski resort Starý Smokovec is particularly suitable for families with children.
