The water of the Sonnanen lake is unusually clear and according to some, it is the second clearest lake in Finland. Sonnanen is popular among freedivers and the world record under ice free diving has been made here.

Like many clear lakes in Finland, Sonnanen is also based on a natural spring. On the south side of the lake, there is a public beach but no facilities.

Almost 250 skiing days a year - from October to June! Ruka's 29 slopes provide something for everyone. They range from gentle slopes for beginners to taunting gradients for professional skiers.

Romme Alpin is the biggest skiarea in Sweden, beofre you get further north and up in the real mountains. Romme Alpin offers 23 runs and 19 km of total slope length.

Ramundberget is located in Funäsdalen, 580 km from Stockholm, and is considered to be one of the most snow-secure ski areas in Sweden.

With the fourth biggest vertical in Finland, the Pyha complex is located right on the slopes in thick woodland.

Modern skiing resort with real wilderness! Grönklitt is one of Sweden's most southern ski resorts, yet this is where you are most likely to find snow.
