General info:

Sliding Rock is exactly what it sounds like; a 60ft of smooth rock that feeds into a natural pool, making a natural waterslide.

This rock slash water slide, located eight miles from Brevard, is fueled by 11,000 gallons of water flowing down the rock each minute, creating an exhilarating, one-of-a-kind thrill. It is extremely popular on hot summer days, so be patient! There's plenty of areas to relax on rocks or observation decks.

Getting there:

By car, address:
US-276, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768, Yhdysvallat

The parking area fills up and closes periodically on summer weekends. For a more enjoyable visit, avoid peak visiting hours of 12-4 PM on Saturday and Sundays.

Costs:

Cost to enter the recreation area is $2 per person when staff members are on duty. Children 6 and under are free.

While you can slide anytime year-round during daylight hours, lifeguards are on duty and changing rooms / restrooms are open every day from May 27 through September 4, 10 AM-6 PM. After Labor Day, lifeguards work on weekends through mid-October.
