Vom Bett aufs Brett heißt es in Altastenberg, dem höchstgelegenen Wintersportdorf am Fuße des Kahlen Astens. Für reichlich Neuschnee sorgen regelmäßig 19 Schneeerzeuger auf den abwechslungsreichen Abfahrten. Das ebenso schneesichere wie attraktive Skigebiet mit 17 optimal präparierten Pisten liegt direkt am Ort und ist selbst in Skischuhen bequem zu erreichen. Anfänger finden hier reichlich Platz für erste Schwünge. Könner dagegen finden auf der einzigen FIS Rennpiste der Region, dem Westfalenhang, eine große Herausforderung. Die private://Streifprivate:// des Sauerlandes neigt sich mit bis zu 40 % ins Tal.

Zwiesel

Primarilly a cross country skiers resort, for which it is world famous, with an incredible amount of terrain. Downhillers will find very limited slopes about 20 minutes out of town, the biggest at Arber.

Zweisimmen

At the German-speaking end of the rail-link included Gstaad ski pass and now lift linked to the ski areas above neighbouring Saanemöser, St. Stephan and Schönried.
