Even dough it was regarded as a slum district and had a substantial Jewish population with a high proportion of migrants from Eastern Europe, Scheunenviertel transformed itself into a busy shopping, eating and entertainment zone. It has also become the darling of the city’s creative class with cafes and bars filled with fashion designers and actors.
