The Planai and Hochwurzen are the main entrance to the mountain ski region of Schladming connecting four ski resorts with 115 km of slopes and 52 cable car systems. Embedded in the picturesque countryside of the Styrian Enns valley, the Planai and Hochwurzen offer the most sophisticated skiing experience in Austria. Around skiing a region of recreation and wellness has developed, ranging from floodlit slopes to special offers for snowboarders. No wonder that the Planai hosted the World Championships in Alpine skiing, the Junior World Championships, the Special Olympics World Games as well as other international events. The most spectacular event of the winter season is the floodlit slalom taking place every year (24 January 2006)... About 45.000 fans turn the Olympic arena of the Planai into absolute pandemonium. This largest ski resort of Styria offers all ski and snowboard freaks everything that belongs to a successful winter holiday. This includes not only the technical facilities, but also the ambience in the little mountain town of Schladming which has preserved its original character despite its international fame. Sirnitz - Albeck - Hochrindl

5 ski tows and a modern 4-passenger chairlift with 20 km long wonderful runs makes the heart of the young and the old skier alike leap. Snowboarders are welcome and can romp about to their hearts' content.

Skalka Arena

The ski center Skalka arena is located in the Kremnické hills. The resort has really good conditions for skiing because of it´s location. Skalka arena is a part of the resort Skalka pri Kremnici.

Risoul

At the gates of Queyras and the Guil valley, sat on the edge of a mountain overlooking Mont Pelvoux and the Massif des Ecrins, the ski resort of Risoul.

Ristolas

Ristolas has a small ski area with three parallel drag lifts, but is close to the larger village of Abries, with which it is jointly marketed, that has a larger ski area including a new six seater chair lifts.

Roccaraso - Rivisondoli

A traditional hillside village with three separate ski areas in the mountains above together providing a good mix of ski conditions and gradients. There is a huge modern hotel complex at Aremogna (1625m) with doorstep skiing.

Roháče Spálená dolina

The ski resort Zverovka – Spálená is located in the beautiful surroundings of the West Tatras - Roháce. Ski slopes are suitable for experienced skiers, beginners and family ski trips.
