General info:

When visiting Spain, you cannot miss an opportunity to taste some delicious churros, one of the traditional Spanish desserts. And the best churros in Madrid, you will find at San Gines. This is a chocolateria located in the central area of Madrid.

The main entries in the menu are churros and hot chocolate, the recipe being the same since 1894. If you want to try something different, you can also have a coffee and a slice of a delicious, freshly baked cake.
The churros that you can serve here are also freshly cooked and they are hot when they get to your table. You just have to dunk them in the hot chocolate that you receive and you can then enjoy a special treat of Madrid.

Getting there:

You can take the metro until you reach the Opera or Sol stations and from there, you just need to find the passageway that leads to San Gines Church. The actual location of the café is Pasadizo de San Gines, 5.
This location is open 24 hours per day so whenever you feel like having some churros and chocolate, you can pay a visit to the chocolateria.

Costs:

The costs of the churros and chocolate are great. A serving of six churros and a cup of chocolate to dunk the donuts in costs only EUR3.50. Money well spent.
