The newly opened ski resort Salamandra Resort is situated in the middle of the unique nature of Štiavnické hills near the historically important city of Banská Štiavnica. This resort offers modern ski lifts and moderate slope. Salamandra Resort is one of the most southern ski centers in Slovakia. It is the closest opportunity for skiing for people from western and southern Slovakia. The center is equipped with a modern four-seat chair lift, and the slopes are covered by a snowmaking system. There is a natural lake-tajch, children ski lift and nursery services. There are two free parking places, rental services, ski school and cafeteria.

Thanks to the new facilities for artificial snow, set up in San Valentino and in Polsa, the ski runs are always perfectly covered with snow, and skiing fun is certain.

The Adamello Ski area is a land spanning Valle Camonica (Lombardy) and Val di Sole (Trentino) with a skiing carousel made up of 100 km of ski runs which are all linked one to the other.
