The Tramway du Mont Blanc is one of the last three narrow-gauge railways in France today. In the winter it allows access to skiing in Prarion / Bellevue (1800 m). In the summer taking you to the foot of Bionnassay Glacier at Nid d'Aigle situated at 2372 m in altitude. Besides skiing and mountaineering, St. Gervais is also known for its thermal baths. Since 1806, the Baths of St. Gervais-les-Bains have been reputed for the treatment of dermatological conditions. The treatments use the Saint-Gervais-les-Bains natural thermal water which has anti-inflammatory qualities, gently soothing and healing the skin. In addition, St. Gervais-les-Bains baths show characteristics of dual pathology that treat Asthma and Eczema, both very common in children.
