ROCKEFELLER CENTER
Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m2) between 48th and 51st streets in New York City. This Art Deco NYC landmark was built by John D. Rockefeller, Jr between 1932-1939 and it was the largest private building project ever undertaken in modern times.

The centerpiece of Rockefeller Center is the 70-floor, 872-foot (266 m) GE Building at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The building is the setting for the famous Lunchtime atop a Skyscraper photograph, taken by Charles C. Ebbets in 1932. GE building is also home to the legendary NBC Studios and Saturday Night Live.
Another famous building in the center is the Radio City Music Hall at 50th Street. The Music Hall seats 6,000 people and after an initial slow start became the single biggest tourist destination in the city. At the front of 30 Rock is the Lower Plaza, the very center of the complex, where the world famous ice-skating rink was opened in 1936.

THE TOP OF THE ROCK OBSERVATION DECK
From here, you will have an unobstructed, 360 degree view of New York City. The Top of the Rock is a 3-tiered observation deck on the 67th, 69th, and 70th floors of Rockefeller Centre 260 m above the street level.

This is nowhere near as crowded as the Empire State Building ,and many think the views are far more superior than from the Empire. Especially the view to central park is better than anywhere else. This deck is also far less crowded than Empire, and the timed ticketing can save you a lot of time.
