The ski area Nebelhorn is more diverse than any other ski area in the Allgäu. It is usually blessed with lots of natural snow but in case it is not modern snow making equipment is available. The view on more than 400 summits in impressive. The slopes in the ski area Nebelhorn are well-groomed and range from easy to difficult and are suitable for skiers and snowboarders alike. Germany’s longest valley slope is also located here. The winter trails leading up to an altitude of 2000 m are well groomed and leas through the Allgäu’s beautiful landscape. Another highlight is the NTC-Park near the Seealpe.

The venerable Timberline at Government Camp located at the 6,600-foot level of Mt. Hood (11,235 feet) has a 3,590 vertical and 1,430 skiable acres. The best World Cup national teams train at Timberline in the summer.

Interesting places nearby

Primarilly a cross country skiers resort, for which it is world famous, with an incredible amount of terrain. Downhillers will find very limited slopes about 20 minutes out of town, the biggest at Arber.

At the centre of the Four Valleys, one of the largest ski areas in Europe, Verbier has everything a top-class winter-sports resort should have.

Located above Chalais (cable car link) Vercorin is on the Val D'Anniviers pass which it shares with Chandolin / Saint Luc, Grimentz and Zinal (offering a combined total of 200km of trails).

At the Amberger Alpe (1883 metres) in Kärnten in the Spittal-district, the natural skiing area Verditz is located. Especially families are glad to go skiing in Verditz.

Just about 45 kilometres from Salzburg - directly near the highway - on 1,000 to 2,300 metres above sea level, you find the family-friendly skiing area of Werfenweng.
