The ski area Obergurgl – Hochgurgl is equipped with modern snow-making equipment which guarantees reliable snow conditions throughout the season. Obergurgl lies at the end of the Gurgler Tal on 1930 m altitude. The hotel settlement Hochgurgl lies on 2150 m near the street leading to the Timmelsjoch. The ski area Hochgurgl is connected to Obergurgl via a skyride. The altitude of the ski area ranges from 1800 m to 3080 m. The highest elevation in the area, the Wurmkogel (3082 m) allows a stunning view on Northern and Southern Tyrol's mountains.
