The best hot dogs in NY! Nathan’s Famous was founded by a Polish immigrant, Nathan Handwerker, and his is truly an authentic “only in America story.” He started his business in 1916 with a small hot dog stand in Coney Island, New York. Today it´s perhaps the most well known hot dog restaurant in the world (or at least in NY..).

Every year on July 4th the Hot Dog Eating World Champions will be held here. The record of this contest stands at Joey Chestnut's who ate 68 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Joey is a 5 time champion already.
