Miami Seaquarium is the oldest oceanarium in the USA and one of the most important in the world, with over half a million visitors per year. Its area is over 39 acres and is located near the Miami City center. In addition to housing marine mammals, which are Seaquarium’s biggest attractions, it also is a home to a several other animals, like sharks and reptiles.

One of the most popular residents of the Miami Seaquarium is Lolita, the killer whale. She is one of the oldest orcas in the world. Lolita has been living in the Miami Seaquarium for over 40 years, since she was caught in the Pacific as just a young whale. Her shows are the most famous part of the Seaquarium’s repertoire.
