Mad River Glen is Vermont's throwback ski area. Located deep within the Mad River Valley in Waitsfield, VT, Mad River's motto remains: private://Mad River Glen Ski It If You Can.private:// MRG offers many unique features, such as the nation's last surviving single chairlift. Mad River is legendary for its expert terrain, and varied beginner to intermediate runs. Mad River Glen is a snowboard free zone, meaning snowboarders are banned from the lifts, but can still hike for some turns if they wish. There are extensive lodging and dining options in the nearby Mad River Valley, but most guests find just what they need in the rowdy base lodge.
