Location
Macys is perhaps the best known department store in the world. This is the flagship store of the Macys chain that operates over 800 stores in the US.
This store used to be the biggest store in the world with about 200 000sqm but is now no.2 after the opening of Shinsegae in South Korea.
Macy's was founded by Rowland Hussey Macy, in 1851 in Massachusetts, originally to sell dry goods. After failing in Massachusetts, Macy moved the store to New York in 1858.
