General info:

Mönckebergstraße is the main shopping center of Hamburg. The street cuts through the city core, making it a busy all day long.

Along the Mönckebergstrasse you’ll find mall-like establishments such as Europa Passage as well as department stores like Karstadt, Kaufhof and Saturn, that offer everything from clothes to electronic devices. Fashion for every taste and budget can be found at chain-stores like C&A, Peek & Cloppenburg or H&M.

Many cafés have set up their tables along the broad avenue of the Mönckebergstrasse, inviting those with tired feet for a cappuccino or cold beer while watching the crowds go by. Try Mönckebrunnen for a quick rest, or Tschebull for a taste of its contemporary Austrian cuisine. Sausage-joint Mö Grill is an institution in Hamburg, and a juicy currywurst to lift the spirits is highly recommended!
