One of the most historic sections of Prague, the Lesser Quarter (Malá Strana) is almost too picturesque for its own good - with its ancient burgher houses, baroque palaces, winding narrow lanes and St. Nicholas Church, the Lesser Town is a favourite setting for movies and commercials.

At its heart is the Baroque Lesser Town Square. Here, and all around in the cobbled side streets there are small shops to browse, churches to explore and traditional Czech pubs and restaurants to discover; some of which with fine views over the river.

The Lesser Town is a lovely area to stay in. It is quieter than the Old Town and the New Town, particularly at night. To wander through the almost deserted, lantern lit streets during the evening is an utter delight, affording visitors a real sense of olden day Prague.

Getting there:

If you’re in the Old Town, just walk over the Charles Bridge. For other areas use metro (metro line A and the station Malostranská) or tram.

Costs:

The Lesser Quarter has dozens of boutiques, restaurants, bars, and other attractive venues. However, the price might be a bit higher that you would expect.

The Hermitage is the biggest art museum in Russia and is one of the must-visit places in St. Petersburg.

Zwiesel

Primarilly a cross country skiers resort, for which it is world famous, with an incredible amount of terrain. Downhillers will find very limited slopes about 20 minutes out of town, the biggest at Arber.

Zweisimmen

At the German-speaking end of the rail-link included Gstaad ski pass and now lift linked to the ski areas above neighbouring Saanemöser, St. Stephan and Schönried.

Zuoz

This is the biggest snow sports region in Switzerland. Amid unrivalled sweeping scenery you will find expertly prepared slopes served by state-of-the-art lift facilities.

Zugspitze

The ski area Ehrwald is located in the Zugspitz Arena. The conditions for skiers and snowboarders are exceprionally well in the ski area. The slopes are well groomed and suitable for all levels of difficulty.

Zuberec/Milotín

The ski resort of Zuberec/Milotin is situated in the regions of Orava/Západné Tatry. The ski resort is an altitude from 825 to 1055 meters above sea level.Zuberec/Milotin's ski season runs from December thru March.

Zuberec/Janovky

Ski-Zuberec Janovky is located in the village Zuberec, in the Western Tatras (Rohá?e). Ski areas are without vegetation and covered by a snowmaking system, allowing skiing in the period when there is not much of snow on slopes.
