Les Carroz welcomes all, in particular families looking to share time together. A little suggestion: The private://Cascades Runprivate:// (requires a full Grand Massif ski pass). This is an amazing ski run which will stay with you for years. From the top of the Flaine Gondola follow the blue run, crossing the Sixt Fer à Cheval nature reserve and the Combe de Gers. Upon arrival in Sixt there is a free shuttle bus that takes you back to Samoens and Morillon to make your way back on skis to Les Carroz. Warning: This route is only really recommended for established skiers. For cross country ski lovers, the ski resort of Les Carroz offers free shuttle buses taking you up to the simply stunning Agy Nordic Ski area. The panoramic views over the surrounding mountains are exceptional and a must for all budding intermediate cross country ski enthusiasts. If the Agy ski area is closed, there are free shuttle buses take visitors back to the ‘Pierre Carrée' mountain pass in Flaine. Here you can make use of the 17 km of ski tracks along with 10 km of pedestrian paths and snowshoe trails. Amongst the magnificent mountains that surround Les Carroz there are endless places to stop, take a break and relax. There is a great array of activities on offer in Les Carroz, you can choose between: - A detour through the village: Either by skis or by making use of the gondola. The villages' easy accessibility is one of Les Carrozs great conveniences. There are loads of places to eat, drink and socialise. Alternatively relax in one of the town's health centres. - Culture: Concerts, festivals and street shows. In the evening discover the friendly atmosphere in Les Carroz. - Adventure: mountaineering, dog sledding, airboarding, night-time tobogganing, skijoring, paragliding and hot-air ballooning. There is enough even to satisfy the most adrenaline hungry globe trotters. Something to test out: a meal or a night in an igloo or a yurt! There is a very unique atmosphere in Les Carroz's comfortable igloos and yurt accommodation, igloo accommodation, igloo restaurant, children's igloo, Jacuzzi or ice bar. For a fondue break, stop for lunch at the foot of the slopes or experience a night in an igloo ... Because of their insatiable appetite for fun and discovery, the village of Les Carroz and the Grand Massif ski area offers a variety of activities for children of all ages! Take their hand and indulge them in the pleasure of sledding, ice skating or a delightful spin on a dog sled.
