A medium-sized village with a 1200 bed base and the steep wooded slopes of the 'Grosser' and 'Kleiner' Otscher mountains criss-crossed with ski runs on its outskirts. For snow-boarders there is a rare Lower Austrian half-pipe and a boarder cross course. There is a boarder cross course and tuition is available from Schischule Total and Schischule Mandl.
