Kirkwood Mountain may be the hidden gem of the entire Lake Tahoe region in Northern California. Kirkwood prides itself on its big mountain skiing and snowboarding but with small town attitude. Kirkwood has some of the best terrain in the Sierra Nevada and with over 600” of annual snowfall, there is rarely a bad snow day on the mountain. Kirkwood’s terrain spans 2,300 acres of cliffs, chutes, cornices and glades, as well as a variety of beginner and intermediate options to choose from.
