This unique Museum is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CVS-11), that served in World War II.
The Museum features a range of interactive exhibits and events providing a snapshot of heroism, education, and excitement. The exhibits range from historical re-creations such as Kamikaze: Day of Darkness, Day of Light, to new interactive displays. Visitors also can ride in the A-6 Cockpit Simulator, visit the Virtual Flight Zone, and tour the inside of the Growler Submarine.

The complex boasts 30 restored aircraft, former USS Growler submarine, Lockheed A-12 supersonic reconnaissance plane and the British Airways Concorde. Additionally on April 12, 2011, the museum was awarded the Space Shuttle Enterprise.

Subway: Take subway to Times Square and either walk from there or take the M-42 bus West to the Hudson River and walk north.
Bus: M-50 runs along 49th Street and stops at the Intrepid
