The prices are the big reason to ski at Great Divide, because they are always far less than their bigger competitors. The snow is well-managed and there is a 1,330 vertical drop. The problem comes in the rather light natural snowfall average of only about 150 inches. Great Divide is almost always the first ski resort to open in Montana.

Bogus Basin is spread out over a 2,600-acre area. The claim to fame here is the family orientation. It sits above Boise with an 1,800 foot vertical. They have two quads, one triple and four double chairs.

49 Degrees North is a favorite with locals in northeast Washington State. You will find 2,325 skiable acres on Chewelah Peak, with 54 runs serviced by five lifts.

Alpental

Alpental is one of four base areas at the Summit-at-Snoqualmie, separated from the other three by Interstate 90. Alpental offers the most advanced and expert terrain at the area with runs like Upper International and Shot Six.
