Grandvalira is located in the north-east of the Principality of Andorra, in the parishes of Encamp and Canillo.
It is the largest skiable area in Southern Europe: there are 205 km of slopes. There are 6 different accesses to the ski slopes, all of them on Carretera General 2, known as the Carretera de Francia, or France Road.
