The oldest amusement park in Sweden is Gröna Lund. Located in the close to the city center, on the island Djurgarden, this park has been a popular attraction since the day it opened, in the late 19th century. A day spent at Gröna Lund is a memorable one, whether you dine in one of the restaurants, enjoy a pentathlon, a live concert or one of the 30 exciting rides.

However, Grona Lund doesn’t serve strictly as an amusement park – it also hosts some sport venues and concerts. The citizens of Stockholm still remember the concert Bob Marley held during the eighties, which holds the record for the most number of visitors.

Old Tjikko- The oldest clonal tree

Old Tjikko is the world's oldest individual clonal tree. The age of this Norway Spruce tree is an unbelievable 9,550 years and it is located on Fulufjället Mountain in Sweden.

Kjerag and Kjeragbolten

On the other side of the Fjord from Preikestolen is another breathtaking cliff, Kjerag. Its highest point is 1110 m above sea level, but it is the northern drop to Lysefjorden that attracts most visitors.

Trolltunga

Trolltunga (Troll's tongue) is a piece of rock jutting horizontally out of a mountain a staggering 700 metres above the lake Ringedalsvatnet in Odda, Norway.

Preikestolen

Preikestolen is a unique rock formation towering 604 meters over the Lysefjord near Stavanger. The top of the rock is completely flat with an area of 25mX25m and it looks like the whole block is cut with a knife.

Langfossen

Langfoss trundles down into the Åkrafjord like a nature made roller coaster. The total fall of Langfoss is around 612 meters and it is one of the highest in Norway and Europe.

Åre is located in the central part of Sweden, and is one of Scandinavia's largest ski resorts, consisting of 5 ski areas with a total of 40 ski lifts and 103 runs.
