Freudenstadt is a major cross-country ski centre in the Black Forest, with two lifts locally. However a further down or so small drag lifts are located along the Schwarzwaldhofstrasse or Black Forest Road between 2 and 10km (1 - 7 miles) from the resort centre. Used partly to access cross-country terrain, and partly for limited downhill skiing and tobogganning, These lifts are not connected to one another, there are six toboggan runs in the area.

There is chairlift access to the skiing from both sides of the mountain. In Bischofsgrun there are three lifts serving trails with lighting for night skiing, and two with snow-making.

The ski resort Severak is the coldest place of Jizerské Mountains. Trails are suitable for families with children and slopes on Jih are suitable for better skiers. For fans of snowboarding and freestyle skiing is there a snowpark.

Locally renowned for its snow record, a funicular from Partenen accesses the Loipe 2000 high-altitude cross-country circuit on the Bielerhöhe.

In the family-winter-wonderland St. Urban / Simonhöhe everybody has the possibility to ski as the slopes are well prepared and there is no risk of avalanches.

5 ski tows and a modern 4-passenger chairlift with 20 km long wonderful runs makes the heart of the young and the old skier alike leap. Snowboarders are welcome and can romp about to their hearts' content.

The ski center Skalka arena is located in the Kremnické hills. The resort has really good conditions for skiing because of it´s location. Skalka arena is a part of the resort Skalka pri Kremnici.

At the gates of Queyras and the Guil valley, sat on the edge of a mountain overlooking Mont Pelvoux and the Massif des Ecrins, the ski resort of Risoul.
