General info:

It is estimated that the primary source of Dubai wealth, oil, is due to be spent in the next 10 years. That is why the king decided to invest heavily in tourism, building breathtaking structures all around the city. As everything in Dubai, the Dubai Mall is also an impressive building. It is the biggest shopping mall in the world and is located just next to the world’s biggest fountain complex – the Dubai Fountain and the biggest man-made structure – the Burj Khalifa.

It seems that the Global Financial Crisis isn’t taking its toll on this place. More than 600 retailers in the mall attract over 700,000 visitors per week, making the Dubai Mall by-far the most visited mall in the world. This place attracts more people than, for example, the busiest spot in New York, the Times Square.

Apart from over a thousand shops, this mall features an ice rink, a luxurious hotel and dozens of restaurants. However, probably the biggest attractions in this place are the aquarium and the underwater zoo.

Getting there:

The Dubai Mall is easily accessible via the Dubai Metro, from Dubai Mall station. The exact location is D 71 - Dubai - United Arab Emirates.

Costs:

Depending on store, the prices vary significantly. Here you can find everything from high-class designed wardrobe to fairly affordable wear. Same goes for other types of merchandise.
