Craigieburn Valley Ski Area, located in the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, has achieved cult status amongst NZ's hottest skiers; steep, deep and cheap. There is no terrain for beginner skiers and ski hire facilities on the mountain. Craigieburn is located 1.5 hrs (110km) from Christchurch on highway 73.
