General info:

Courmayeur: one hundred kilometres between and off-piste on the perfectly groomed slopes or down virgin snow chasing after the last snowfall. On skis or a snowboard, in the presence of the highest mountain in Europe. This is the Courmayeur skiarea, the sunny side of Mont Blanc. Throughout the winter, every day and every night, we prepare perfection for ski lovers. The land of the Valle d'Aosta has given a place of dizziness and enchantment to be modeled to make the palette to plot dream trajectories, tasting the speed and breathing crystal clear air of the top of the old continent. In Courmayeur, each level meets his challenge: from the slopes where you fasten your boots for the 1st time to the most difficult pistes, without forgetting the immensely spread freeriding spots. The snowmaking covers more than 70% of the skiarea, and for the whole season guarantee the chance to discover, have fun and test yourselves.
It's also possible in the summer to take a series of gondolas to Aiguille du Midì, a station just below the peak of Mont Blanc on the French side. Three gondolas transport visitors up over 2000m from the valley floor at Helbronner Point to the peak. At the first station, Pavillon du Mont Fréty, it's possible to enjoy the Pavillon du Mont Fréty Natural Oasis, home to the Saussurea Alpine Garden, which is one of the highest gardens in Europe and which hosts over 900 alpine plant species. It's also possible to visit the Crystal Exhibit and the magnificent Ice Terrace with its 360° view of the Alpine arc. Crossing the glaciers is an extraordinary aerial voyage across the heart of the Mont Blanc massif: a half hour trip on a panoramic gondola with breathtaking views while suspended above glaciers and crevasses that connects to Aiguille du Midì (3842 m).
