The Netherlands is a country renowned for its growing floral industry. It is the center of the Europe’s production and trade of flowers and it is therefore no wonder that the only floating flower market is located in the country’s capital city.

The Amsterdam’s ‘Bloemenmarkt’ floats on one of the canals in the historic area of the city. The market is one of the main suppliers of flowers for the whole city. Here you can buy various kinds of flowers from all over the world. 15 shops give an impressive offer of flowers and souvenirs for tourists.

The Bloemenmarkt offers flowers and souvenirs of a different range. Here you can look for some very cheap flowers that you might get even as a present from the sellers (for example, a tulip flower, which is considered the national flower of the Netherlands), but also, here you can buy some extravagant items that cost a lot.
