General info:

Bigăr is one of the most unusual waterfalls in the world. The water falls on the green moss covered cliff and spreads into tiny threads of water creating a graceful water veil. The evenly dropping water threads simply look amazing and hypnotic in a way.

The origins of the water are in an underground water spring that spills into the Minis River. The waterfall is located in the forests of the Anina Mountains exactly on the 45th parallel in the half way from Equator to North Pole.

Getting there:

The waterfall itself is located near a small village called Bosovici. The largest city in it's vicinity is Timisoara. To get to the waterfall, follow road 57B. You can recognize the entrance from a big 45 Parallel sign private://Paralela 45private://. There are also some hand-painted signs that lead you to the waterfall.

Costs:

Visitor tax is about 1 euro for two persons.

5 ski tows and a modern 4-passenger chairlift with 20 km long wonderful runs makes the heart of the young and the old skier alike leap. Snowboarders are welcome and can romp about to their hearts' content.

The ski resort Zverovka – Spálená is located in the beautiful surroundings of the West Tatras - Roháce. Ski slopes are suitable for experienced skiers, beginners and family ski trips.

Rusin-Ski

The newly formed ski station in the Bukowina Tatrza?ska offers excellent conditions for winter sports. There are four-person chairlift and two t-lifts. Slopes are well maintained - artificially snowwed, lighted, and snow groomed.
