Alyeska is where Olympic Gold Medalist Tommy Moe trained. There are two certified (International Ski Federation) downhill courses. Alyeska is World Class, with an average of 631 inches of snowfall every year and 1,000 acres of terrain to romp in. Alyeska Resort is a favored resort for family vacations. Mt. Alyeska offers 2,500 vertical feet of terrain. There are wide open bowls, and long top to bottom runs. The area has the only four diamond hotel in Alaska conveniently located with ski in/ski out access to the trails. The Alyeska Resort Aerial Tramway is a seven-minute ride to a viewing deck with panoramic views of the mountains, hanging glaciers, sparkling streams, towering spruce, and an array of wildlife.

The ski area Obergurgl – Hochgurgl is equipped with modern snow-making equipment which guarantees reliable snow conditions throughout the season. Obergurgl lies at the end of the Gurgler Tal on 1930 m altitude.

In Oberhof situated at the „Rennsteig“, a famous Thuringian hiking path, alpine and especially cross country skiers will get their money’s worth. Two ski lifts carry you up to lots of slopes and trails suitable for any requirements.

The ski area Nebelhorn is more diverse than any other ski area in the Allgäu. It is usually blessed with lots of natural snow but in case it is not modern snow making equipment is available.

Obertauern is one of the Alps’ most snow reliable areas. That means perfect skiing conditions from the end of November till the beginning of May.

There is chairlift access to the skiing from both sides of the mountain. In Bischofsgrun there are three lifts serving trails with lighting for night skiing, and two with snow-making.
