The ski area Alpbachtal offers very diverse slopes. If you spend your winter vacation in the Alpbachtal, you can also look forward to spacious freeride areas. The highest elevation in the area, the Hornlift 2000, is a perfect vantage point to gaze at the summits in the Alpbachtal, the Rofan, and the Zillertal. There are lots of cross-country ski runs, winter trails, and pristine ski lodges. Beginners and families find perfect conditions to exercise their skills. The holiday region is marked by villages with an original flair, for example the village Reith im Alpbachtal. The ski area Alpbachtal made first place in the ADAC Skiguide’s category “Klein&Fein” in the season 2008/2009.

The villages Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg are located in the ski area Dachstein West Lammertal in the Dachstein Mountains. The ski area has slopes for all levels of difficulty available.

The Dachstein is actually better known in summer than in winter. No surprise being the first glacier in the eastern Alps.
