London Eye
Location
Today, London Eye is perhaps the best way to admire London and his majesty. This giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames is 135 meters tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 meters. This makes it the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe. The beauty of it is that is public and accessible to all who maybe don`t have the time to visit the entire city so they can take a look from the above.
The Eye was built at a cost of £70 million pounds. On a good day guests can enjoy a view of up to 25 miles away! The wheel rotates extremely slowly; 26cm (10in) per second – which is about 0.6 miles per hour.
Hyde Park & Kensington gardens

London's Hyde Park is one of the greatest city parks in the world. Covering 142 hectares (350 acres) and with over 4,000 trees, a large lake, a meadow and ornamental flower gardens, there’s a good chance you’ll forget you are right in the centre of London.

The Tower of London

Palace of Westminster - Houses of Parliament

The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Commonly known as the Houses of Parliament after its occupants, it is also known as the 'heart of British politics'.
The Houses of Parliament's oldest part is 11th-century Westminster Hall, one of only a few sections that survived a catastrophic fire in 1834. Its roof, added between 1394–1401, is the earliest-known example of a hammerbeam roof. The rest is mostly a neo-Gothic confection built by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin (1840–58).
London Dungeon

The London Dungeon recreates various gory and macabre historical events in a gallows humor style. It includes live actors, special effects and rides.
The visitors of The London Dungeon show are taken on a journey through 1000 years of London’s history where they meet actors performing as some of London’s most famous horror characters, including Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd. The shows are staged on theatrical sets with special effects and incorporate events such as the Black Death or the Gunpowder Plot. Maybe the most interesting fact is that the guests are encouraged to participate in the shows.
Lee Valley White Water Centre

Lee Valley White Water Centre is a white-water slalom centre that was constructed to host the canoe slalom events of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
On 9th December 2010, Anne, Princess Royal officially opened the venue which is owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.

Westminster Abbey

A splendid mixture of architectural styles, Westminster Abbey is considered the finest example of Early English Gothic (1190–1300).
It is one of the most notable religious buildings in the United Kingdom and is the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English and, later, British monarchs. Every monarch since William the Conqueror has been crowned here, with the exception of a couple of unlucky Eds who were either murdered (Edward V) or abdicated (Edward VIII) before the magic moment.
Tower Bridge

In 1894 when the elegant Tower Bridge was built, London was a thriving port. Designed to be raised to allow ships to pass, it was originally powered by steam and enormous hydraulic engines. When it was built, Tower Bridge was the largest and most sophisticated bascule bridge ever completed. The energy created was stored in six massive accumulators, as soon as power was required to lift the Bridge, it was always readily available. Today electricity has taken over the steam engines.

The London Fields Lido is a 50 meters Olympic size, heated outdoor swimming pool open all year round and located in Hackney, central London. This is the only heated outdoor swimming pool in London and has a lane swimming available all day. Besides, it offers swimming lessons for children and adults, advice and instruction for members and non members during their swim fit sessions.
